Waldoboro police officers responded to 131 calls for service between Aug. 9 and Aug. 15. Below are a few of the highlights.

Aug. 9

Officer Larry Hesseltine arrested John Burbank, 37, of Jefferson, for operating under the influence and operating without a license.

Hesseltine investigated a report of the theft of some heaters and lawn furniture.

Aug. 10

Officer William Bragg summoned Theodore Cocco, 51, of Waldoboro, for harvesting clams without a town license.

Aug. 11

Chief William Labombarde arrested Steven McClure, 53, of Waldoboro, for aggravated criminal mischief and reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon.

Officer Chris Spear investigated an accident on Main Street at 5:50 p.m. Blair Brown, 32, of Hope, was traveling north in a 1999 Volvo sedan and attempted to pass on the right and struck Meghan Kennedy, 33, of Waldoboro, who was making a left turn in a 2003 Honda sedan. No injuries were reported.

Officer Thomas Bartunek arrested Joao Gomez, 39, of Pawtucket, R.I., for operating under the influence and operating without a license.

Aug. 13

Officer John Lash summoned Steven Thibodeau, 32, of Washington, for operating under the influence.

Spear investigated a report that someone damaged a window in a pickup truck.

Aug. 15

Officer Jeffery Fuller investigated a report of unauthorized use of a debit card.

Fuller investigated a report of harassment by text messages.

Fuller investigated a report from the Chevrolet dealership that someone broke in and stole some items.

An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and untilĀ  proven guilty at criminal proceedings.
