Waldoboro police officers responded to 139 calls for service between Aug. 2 and Aug. 8. Below are a few of the highlights.

Aug. 2

Officer Thomas Bartunek investigated a report from Benny’s Seafood that someone had vandalized some windows the previous night.

Bartunek arrested Tony Thurman, 49, of Waldoboro, for domestic violence assault.

Aug. 4

Officer Chris Spear summoned Devon Sproul, 22, of Jefferson, for operating after suspension.

Sgt. Jamie Wilson arrested Robert Burgess Jr., 28, of Waldoboro, for operating under the influence and operating after suspension.

Aug. 5

Spear investigated a report that someone had dumped asphalt in a pond the previous night.

Aug. 6

Wilson arrested Jason Nash, 30, of Bremen, for operating under the influence and failure to stop for a police officer.

Aug. 8

Officer Jeffery Fuller investigated a report from Atlantic Labs that someone shot at their building.

Fuller investigated a report from the Big Apple of a $21.54 gasoline drive-off.

Fuller investigated a report of criminal mischief to a mailbox the previous night.

Bartunek investigated a report that people were trespassing and shooting guns on an individual's property.
