Robots at Waldoboro Public Library Aug. 18

Dash and Olaf, the Maine State Library robots, will be at the Waldoboro Public Library, 958 Main St. Aug. 18 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Under the direction of STEM Librarian Chris Dorman, children will read a story, sing songs, and learn how to program. Space is limited, so call the library at 832-4484 to register.

Historical Society plans bingo night Aug. 24

Cushing Historical Society, 17 Hathorne Point Road, will hold an evening of bingo with music and prizes at its barn Wednesday, Aug. 24, at 7 p.m. All are welcome.

A dessert potluck is suggested. Half of the proceeds will go to the Cushing Historical Society. Those planning to attend should contact Nancy Gurney at nhgurney2@gmail.com or Peg Creighton at mcreight@bates.edu with the number of people in theirr group and the name of the dessert they are binging. Space and seats are somewhat limited.

Museum to hold family sleepover Aug. 27

The Coastal Children’s Museum, 75 Mechanic St., Rockland, will host a family sleepover Saturday, Aug. 27, at 6 p.m. The event includes an evening of museum playtime, special craft activities, a movie viewing, bedtime stories and of course, pizza. Wake up on Sunday morning for breakfast and a little more play.

Sweetgrass part of Maine Distillery Trail

Sweetgrass Winery and Distillery in Union is one of the stop on the Maine Distiller's Guild's newly opened Maine Distillery Trail. Consisting of a digital map and a punch card, the trail encourages enthusiasts of craft spirits to visit the locations of all 12 Maine Distiller’s Guild members for tastings and educational tours.
