Camden Public Library’s Summer Music series of outdoor concerts will welcome the Maine Pro Musica Brass Quintet Thursday, Aug. 25, at 7 p.m. in the Camden Amphitheatre, Atlantic Avenue within sight of the beautiful Camden Harbor.

The concert will feature members of the Maine Pro Musica brass section, performing popular music for audiences of all ages. Concertgoers are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs, blankets and picnic for this family event that promises to be a great evening with something for everyone.

Maine Pro Musica is an orchestra of professional musicians who perform year round throughout the state. It was founded by Rockport resident Janna Hymes, conductor and music director of Virginia’s Williamsburg Symphony. Maine Pro Musica’s inaugural concert was held August 2008 at Camden Harbor Park. Maine Pro Musica’s mission is to enrich our communities with first-class musical performances.

Admission is free, with donations welcome. In case of rain, the concert will be inside the adjacent library.
