The Waldoborough Historical Society recently elected the following officers to serve for the coming year: William Maxwell, vice president; Sue Betts, treasurer; Carol Blodgett, secretary and Jean Lawrence, president. Kathie Hills was elected to serve a three-year term as trustee, and David Sproul and Dana Davis were elected to join Roy Hatch and Scott Lash as associate trustees. Tom Jordan was elected emeritus trustee and was given a gift to commemorate his many years of service to the society.

The next program will be held at the museum's Hauck/Bailey Building Sunday, Aug. 28, at 1 p.m. It will feature a rug hooking demonstration by Kathie Hills. Many rugs and quilts will be on display; the schoolhouse and barn will also be open. The program is open to the public; the museum will open at noon.
