The weekly Monday night blues series continues Aug. 15 at the downtown Time Out Pub, 275 Main St. Perennial fave Professor Louie & The Crowmatix will perform from 7 to 10 p.m. Admission is $10 at the door.

Known for jamming out timeless rock, country, blues and New Orleans-influenced originals, the Grammy-nominated Woodstock, N.Y., has a new album out this year, “Music From Hurley Mountain.” This, Professor Louie & The Crowmatix’s 12th CD, is inspired by the beautiful farmlands next to their recording studio in the Catskill Mountains. A mix of originals, traditional tunes, heartfelt vocals and blistering guitar riffs celebrates the musical heritage that has shaped the band’s sound and made them one of the Hudson Valley’s most beloved acts.

Upcoming in the weekly series are: Aug. 22, a double show by Gracie Curran and Albert Castiglia bands ($20, starts 6 p.m.); and, Aug. 29, Doug Deming & The Jewel Tones ($10). There will be no show on Labor Day. For more information, visit and click on the Time Out Blues link; call 596-6055 or email
