The Push Farther Project, a progressive folk trio with cello and guitars, will present a Bye For Now concert and live songwriting session Sunday, Aug. 14, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at Union Hall, 24 Central St.

The trio will lead a 45-minute live documentary songwriting session and create a short song based on a story from a volunteer from the audience. They also will perform listener favorites including “Did She Change,” “Washington State Red Apples” and “Beauty of Everyday Things.”

Admission is free for this, the local trio’s final performance of the summer. The event is hosted by Bay Chamber Concerts & Music School. For more information about the Push Farther Project, visit pushfarther.com. To learn more about the process, visit documentarysongwriting.com.
