The Center for Maine Contemporary Art invites artists of all ages to swish ‘n’ swash with broad strokes of color, learning ways to outline and define features to compose striking portraits of pop stars, movers, shakers and thinkers alike.

Everyone is invited to bring friends, family or come on their own Saturday, Aug. 6, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the new CMCA, 21 Winter St. ArtLab welcomes children, teens, adults and families, and is free of charge and open to all.

CMCA's Saturday afternoon ArtLabs are led by interdisciplinary artist/educator Alexis Iammarino, who received her master’s degree in community art from Maryland Institute College of Art; and is lead artist for the LEAPS of Imagination in-school program.

ArtLab is supported in part by the Milton and Sally Avery Art Foundation, the Bob Crewe Foundation, Camden National Bank and individual donors.
