Archipelago Fine Arts, 386 Main St., is celebrating summer with a new exhibition including Jean Kigel, Caroline Loder, Dylan Metrano, Lacey Goodrich, Wayne Hall, Michele O'Keefe, Stephanie Crossman, Jeff Barrett, Carolyn Kemp and Lin Lisberger. The public is invited to a First Friday Art Walk reception Aug. 5 from 5 to 8 p.m. The show is up until Aug. 28.

Highlighted artists include Caroline Loder of Chebeague Island, showing large oils; and Jean Kigel of Waldoboro, offering watercolors of rare, blue lobsters, native low-bush blueberries, working docks and glacial ledges. Kigel’s studio on Muscongus Bay provides her easy access to Harbor, Franklin and Southern Islands, each featured in this show; and her husband provides her with lobsters to paint from.

The gallery and store are open seven days a week. For more information, call 596-0701. To see an online gallery of the exhibit, visit thearchipelago.net/afa/.
