The "WERU Family Radio Hour" with Belfast's Scot Cannon will feature a concert and interview with The Push Farther Project Saturday, Aug. 6, at 10 a.m. The show may be heard at 89.9 and 99.9 FM; and streaming live at weru.org.

The band consists of Nora Willauer on cello and vocals; and Will Foote and Alex Wilder  on guitar and vocals. Willauer is from Hope, and Foote and Wilder are from Rockport. All are former students and current colleagues of Malcolm Brooks of Rockport, and they all use the documentary songwriting technique to write their music.

The result is a combination of beautiful and clever melodies and harmonies; transcendent lyrics; and powerful instrumentals. The Push Farther Project will perform Sunday, Aug. 7, at 4 p.m. at Rockport Marine Park for the town’s 125th celebration. For more info about the band, visit pushfarther.com.
