The weekly Monday night blues series will host another special double-artist show Aug. 8 at the downtown Time Out Pub, 275 Main St. Sean Chambers and Mr. Sipp will perform with their bands beginning an hour earlier, at 6 p.m., and running to 10 p.m. Admission is $20 at the door.

Florida-born blues/soul/country/rock guitarist Sean Chambers toured with the legendary Hubert Sumlin as guitarist and bandleader and was named one of the top 50 blues guitarists of the last century by Britain's Guitarist magazine. A solo artist for just over a dozen years, Chambers is known for his gritty blues rock and beyond-his-years guitar playing. The Time Out dance floor should get a workout.

The distinctive Mr. Sipp “The Mississippi Blues Child” made his Midcoast debut on the main stage of the 2014 North Atlantic Blues Festival as the reigning International Blues Challenge champ and continues to impress as a respected songwriter, musician, composer, producer, vocalist and performing artist. This “child” has serious chops.

Upcoming in the weekly series are: Aug. 15, Professor Louie & The Crowmatix ($10); Aug. 22, double show of Gracie Curran Band and Albert Castiglia Band ($20, starts 6 p.m.); and Aug. 29, Doug Deming & The Jewel Tones ($10). There will be no show on Labor Day. For more information, visit and click on the Time Out Blues link; call 596-6055 or email
