Local artist David Vickery will exhibit new paintings at his annual Open Studio Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 6 and 7, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at his residence.

Continuing his celebration of 25 years in Cushing, Vickery pursues a contemporary realism that integrates the natural with the man-made. A selection of his work can be seen in this year’s Island Journal; and he is represented by Dowling Walsh Gallery in Rockland and Courthouse Gallery in Ellsworth.

Vickery’s studio is located at 5 Maloney Lane, off Hathorne Point Road just before the Olson House. Signs will be posted. For more information about the artist, visit dvickery.com.
