Handwoven rag rugs will be the focus of a one-day show Saturday, July 30. Dwight Wass’ Lincolnville Fine Art Gallery, 2522 Atlantic Highway/Route 1, will host the show from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The rugs are the work of Wally O’Brien who, with his wife Diane, runs Sleepy Hollow Rag Rugs. The O’Briens restored a 200-year-old loom back in the 1970s and have woven on it ever since in their Lincolnville studio. Each rug is unique, woven with strips cut from old clothing — often contributed anonymously by friends and neighbors.
