The 111th Camden High School Alumni Banquet is being held on Friday, Aug. 12 in the Islesboro Ballroom at Point Lookout Resort, 57 Atlantic Highway (Route 1) in Northport.

Handicap parking is available, and anyone who has special needs, or needs a ride to and from the banquet, please contact David Ames at, or call him at 789-5118.

The dateline for buying tickets is Friday, Aug. 5. Tickets will not be sold at the door. Ticket prices remain the same as last year at $30 per person. Obtain them by sending a check, payable to the CHS ALUMNI ASSOCIATION, to Sheila McFarland, 448 Youngtown Road, Lincolnville,ME 04849. Please include a SASE so Sheila can mail tickets to you. Also, please include a brief informational sheet giving your year of graduation, maiden name and spouse/guest, etc.

The evenings events will begin at 4 p.m. with a silent auction, social hour and cash bar. The dining room will open at 5 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6 p.m.. The menu will include: soft dinner rolls and butter, garden salad, soup du jour, mashed potatoes, chef's selection of fresh vegetables, sauteed breast of chicken with prosciutto, leeks and Chardonnay cream and baked haddock with seasoned crumb topping, Dessert is lemon cream cake and coffee.

Tables will be reserved for the reunion classes of '41. '46. '51. '56, '61 and '66.

The Silent Auction will once again be held and remain open, along with the cash bar, until the end of the meal. Anyone wishing to donate a new or quality used item to the auction should contact David Ames at or call him at 789-5118.

All donations received by Aug. 10 will be greatly appreciated.

Proceeds from the Auction help defray banquet expenses. Leis will be on sale again this year for the popular "Heads and Tails" game. Two games will be played with winners each receiving several bottles of wine.

Proceeds from the game help support the Scholarship Fund. This year's Scholarship winners are: Brynn Kooyenga, Natasha Morong and Emma McGurren. Also, two post-graduate Awards went to Adam Landweher and Isaac Young. Three special recognition awards will be made.

A short business meeting will follow the meal, during which reunion classes and committee members will be recognized. CHS alumni who have passed away in the last year will be remembered. Winners of last year's scholarship awards have been invited to attend, with one guest, to give a brief statement summarizing their first year college experience.
