Waldoboro police officers responded to 132 calls for service between July 12 and July 19. Below are a few of the highlights.

July 12

Officer Larry Hesseltine investigated an accident at 3:45 p.m. at the intersection of Main Street Jefferson Street and Friendship Road. Barbara Newman, 67, of Salem, Mass., was westbound on Friendship Road and was making a left turn in a 2015 BMW utility vehicle when she was struck by Barry Portney, 62, of Waldoboro, who was eastbound passing an unknown vehicle in an improper manner in a 1999 Saturn sedan. No injuries were reported.

Officer Chris Spear arrested Tess Ashcroft, 26, of New Haven, Conn., on a warrant.

July 13

Spear investigated an accident on Depot Street at 3:10 a.m. Theron Thibodeau, 27, of Waldoboro, was southbound in a 2000 GMC utility vehicle when he ran off the northbound shoulder. Minor injuries were reported. Thibodeau was charged with operating after suspension.

July 14

Hesseltine summoned Kyle Melanson, 17, of Waldoboro, for speed.

Hesseltine investigated an accident at the intersection of Winslows Mills Road, Kalers Corne, and Atlantic Highway at 10:05 a.m. David Consetino, 49, of Ashburnham, Mass., was westbound in a 2015 Nissan pickup truck when he failed to keep in his proper lane and continued straight, hitting a camper being towed by Zettie Matthews, 77, of Union, who was in the left-turn-only lane. Matthews was driving a 2009 Toyota sedan. No injuries were reported.

Heseltine arrested Luann Wahl, 43, of Waldoboro, for violation of conditional release.

Hesseltine investigated a report from Camden National Bank of the unauthorized use of a customer’s debit card.

Hesseltine investigated a report of harassment by phone and text.

July 15

Officer William Bragg summoned Shane Sykes, 26, of Bristol, for harvesting clams without a town license.

Officer Andrew Santheson investigated a report of harassment by text.

Santheson summoned Alexander Whitman, 40, of Nobleboro, for operating after suspension.

July 16

Officer Jeffery Fuller investigated a report of the theft and use of a debit card.

July 17

Fuller investigated a report of damage to a mailbox.
