Did you know that there are more than 30 species of mushroom that actually glow in the dark? To increase your knowledge of fun fungi facts, join Coastal Mountains Nature Program’s outing Saturday, Aug. 6, from 10 a.m. to noon at the McLellan-Poor Preserve in Northport.

Dr. David Porter, Brooklin resident and emeritus professor of mycology at the University of Georgia, will lead the walk and share his expertise in all things mushroom.

Meet at the Preserve entrance on Herrick Road, just south of Little River Road in Northport.
