Rock City Café, 316 Main St., will presents city singer/songwriter Tom Albury Friday; and Americana-influenced acoustic rocker Bob Funck Saturday, July 29 and 30, from 7 to 9 p.m.

Perennial performer Albury will be singing his "Songs about the weather, songs about love, Songs for the night and the day; Songs for the creatures below and above, and songs for the children that play."

Performing both as a solo artist and the leader of The Bob Funck Band, Funck has established himself as a highly regarded songsmith whose works range from ballads of love, loss and loneliness; to upbeat sociopolitical rants and anthems of personal survival that cannot fail to strike a chord with anyone who has struggled and failed but keeps trying. His guitar work is skillful, yet raw and reckless.

Food is available until closing. For more information on these and other events happening at the coffeebar/cafe, call 594-4123 or find it on Facebook.
