Bay Chamber Concerts continues its 56th Summer Concert Series with the annual Wolf Family Concert Thursday, July 21, at 7:30 p.m. at the Rockport Opera House, 6 Central St. The evening will include the 2016 winner of the Andrew Wolf Chamber Music Award, pianist Gilles Vonsattel.

Vonsattel also is a recipient of an Avery Fisher Career Grant, winner of the Naumburg and Geneva competitions and an artist of extraordinary versatility and originality. He will perform a program of Mozart, Brahms and Schumann with esteemed Bay Chamber veterans, violinist Geoff Nuttall and acclaimed cellist Christopher Costanza, a recipient of a prestigious Solo Recitalists Grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, among many other distinctions.

Tickets for The Wolf Family Concert are $60, $10 for those younger than 25. This specially priced event includes a champagne reception following the performance at Union Hall, 24 Central St., just down the street from the opera house. Lodging Sponsor for this concert is Lord Camden Inn.

On Friday, July 22, at 8:30 p.m. at Union Hall, Bay Chamber Concerts presents a reprisal of the last evening’s remarkable performers in “Liszt and Tchaikovsky Meditations.” Liszt’s solo piano meditation on death and the afterlife sets the mood for the elegiac Tchaikovsky Piano Trio. This emotionally charged program will take place in the intimate atmosphere of Union Hall. Tickets for Café Nights at Union Hall are $35, $10 for those younger than 25.
