Pen Bay Medical Center’s Community Health & Wellness team has joined with Maine Sport Outfitters throughout the summer to offer sea kayaking tours and stand up paddle boarding (SUP) lessons through the Journey to Health program.

“Our Journey to Health program is all about helping our community members create a healthier lifestyle, whether it’s taking time to recharge, trying new cooking techniques, or finding ways to move more,” said Rachael McCormick, manager of community health education at Pen Bay Medical Center. “We are very excited about this collaboration with Maine Sport Outfitters and are thrilled to be able to take our program off of dry land this summer.”

Introduction to Sea Kayaking will be held at Camden Harbor Wednesday, Aug. 3, from 6 to 8 p.m.. SUP for Beginners will be held Wednesday, Aug. 10, at Shirt Tail Point on the Megunticook River from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The registration fee for each of these programs is $20/person and includes all gear.

Space is limited, so pre-registration is required. For more information or to register, visit journeytohealth.coursestorm.com or call 921-3950.
