Good Tern Natural Foods Co-op, 750 Main St., will celebrate National Ice Cream Month with two classes and a party.

Sunday, July 24, at 2 p.m. is a class with co-op member Cynthia Swan, LMT, in which partiipants will learn how to make nut-milk and use it in cooling shakes. Recipes are kid-friendly and suitable for vegan diets.

Sunday, July 31, at 2 p.m. is a workshop on how to make no-churn ice cream. Hannah Woodman, membership and community outreach coordinator at the co-op, will demonstrate the technique, using classic flavors and spices. Participants will taste the creations at the end of the class and leave with recipes to share.

Saturday, July 30, at 2 p.m. is a “pop-up retro” Ice Cream Shoppe. At the party, ice cream cones and root beer floats will be sold at prices reflective of the 1950s. Everyone is invited to take a trip down memory lane with friends and family at the co-op, which is celebrating 36 years of operation. Tours of the store will be ongoing.

Vendors donating ice cream and other supplies for the event include Stone Fox Farm Creamery, Luna & Larry’s Coconut Bliss, and Tierra Farms. Non-dairy options will be available. Prices will hold until supplies run out.
