The Barb Jackson Gallery invites local artists to submit up to two small (size limit 12-by-12 inches) paintings each for its upcoming pop-up exhibit “Lobster Business.” The show will hang in the gallery, 22 Central St. in the village, during the Maine Lobster Festival.

Subjects could be anything from lobster itself to lobster boats, lobster buoys, lobster fishermen or anything that is connected to the lobster business. All submissions must be for sale.

Artwork may be delivered to the gallery during regular business hours — Wednesdays through Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. — until the deadline of Saturday, July 30. The exhibit will be on view Wednesday through Sunday, Aug. 3 through 7, with an opening reception Thursday, Aug. 4, from 5 to 7 p.m. For more information or questions, contact Liz Donald at 631-0993 or
