Merryspring Nature Center and the Maine Daylily Society will host its annual Daylily Day Sunday, July 17, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Merryspring.

Just in time for peak blooming, daylily day offers a morning of talks and hands-on demonstrations for growing daylilies in Maine. At the beautiful Maine Daylily Society display garden at Merryspring, Susan Shaw will showcase the many varieties, colors, shapes, and sizes of daylily blooms, as well as demonstrate how to divide lilies, hybridization methods, and how to keep daylilies healthy and blooming.

Admission to this program is free for all. All guests will receive one free daylily upon arrival, with the opportunity to purchase many of the most unique and colorful cultivars. This is an outdoor program. Guests should wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes.

The park is located at the end of Conway Road, just off of Route 1 in Camden behind Hannaford Shopping Plaza. For more information on this program, please contact info@merryspring.org or call 236-2239.
