On Wednesday, July 13, from 10 a.m. to noon, Anna Adams of Pope Memorial Humane Society will visit Coastal Children’s Museum with some animals who are looking for forever homes.

Adams also will be available to answer questions about animals and how to keep them healthy and happy. Visitors are encouraged to come early, as the animals might decide they want to leave earlier than noon.

Children will also be able to hear about the work the humane society does for the homeless animals in Knox County, and what they can do to help. Families have adopted some of the animals that came for a visit in the past, so come prepared to possibly meet the newest member of your family.

This event is included in the price of admission and free for members. For more information on this event, call 596-0300 or visit programs@coastalchildrensmuseum.org. Located at 75 Mechanic St., the Coastal Children’s Museum is open Tuesdays through Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sundays, 1 to 4 p.m.
