The Summer of Praise Under The Tent at the top-of-the-hill Maine Top Mill, across from Ralph’s Homes on Route 1, will feature the gospel music of Just Tim and friends Friday, July 15, beginning 7 p.m.

Waldoboro resident Tim Connelly has sung with Heaven’s Blend for a number of years, but a few years ago had to leave the group for a while due to health reasons. During this time, he began to sing as a solo and when asked how to be billed, he said “just Tim” … and the name has stuck. Connelly is a retired “Navy guy” and a worship leader at Waldoboro Word of Life Church, but he also has shared his music ministry with other area churches in Brunswick, Wiscasset, North Waldoboro and elsewhere.

On Sunday, July 17, 4 p.m., Connelly will sing with Heaven’s Blend as they host Mike Upright, a gospel bluegrass singer from North Carolina.

As they are under a tent, all events are held, rain or shine. All are welcome to stop by for as long as they are able to stay; bring your own lawn chair (or a cushion) if folding metal chairs are too uncomfortable. The tent now has screens, which has reduced the bug attendance. A goodwill offering will be taken to help cover traveling and other expenses. For more information, call 446-3288.
