St. George Days set for July 16-17

The annual St. George Days will take place this weekend. Saturday, July 16, there will be lobster dinners, a parade, book sale, games and fireworks.  The lobster feast is served from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. at the Tenants Harbor Town Hall and benefits a worthwhile cause. Matthews Museum open for the season

Matthews Museum of Maine Heritage is open for the 2016 summer season. See the extensive agricultural exhibits, listen to early record players, see the world's largest public Moxie display, visit the Hodge School, a one-room schoolhouse, or just browse among the thousands of items on display.

Regular hours are Wednesday through Saturday, noon to 4 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for seniors. Located on the Union Fairgrounds on Common Road. Special visits may be arranged during September by calling 563-1544 or through the website, matthewsmuseum.org.

Workshop will introduce hand analysis July 19

The Gautschi Center,  8 Elm St., Rockland, is hosting “An Introduction to Hand Analysis with Brigitte Gautschi” from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 19.

The International Institute of Hand Analysis (IIHA) uses standard hand reading interpretation plus a unique system of fingerprint analysis to examine a person’s life from a Life Purpose perspective.
