The public is invited to purchase tickets for a Mexican fiesta to celebrate the beauty of the Georges River and benefit Georges River Land Trust.

The lakefront Mexican dinner will be held Saturday, July 16, 5 to 8 p.m., at the home of Al and Margie Margolis. Sip a margarita or a cerveza on the shore of Seven Tree Pond while the sun sets over the water. A delicioso Mexican dinner will follow to refrains of mariachi music. Wear your favorite rebozo, serape and sombrero to set the mood and enrich the fiesta.

A limited number of tickets for dinner and drinks are available now for $75 for Land Trust members or $85 for non-members. This event is part of the Georges River Land Trust’s Revelry for the River event series, a year-long celebration of the Georges River Watershed.

For tickets please visit georgesriver.org/revelry or call 594-5166. All proceeds benefit the conservation programs of the Land Trust.

The Georges River Land Trust has conserved 3,500 acres of natural habitats and working lands in Knox and Waldo Counties and receives 90 percent of its support through individual donations. For more information about programs, trails, events, and membership, visit GeorgesRiver.org or call 594-5166.
