Parks and Recreation Director Ben Vail has announced the recreation activities planned for St. George Days, scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, July 16-17.


Marshall Point 5K Road Race. Children’s Fun Run at 8:15 a.m., followed by the 5K at 8:30 a.m. Registration forms are available in the Town Office or on the Parks and Recreation web page. They can be mailed to the Town Office as well. The Fun Run is free, while the cost of the 5K Road Race is $15 in advance, $20 the day of the race.

There will be age group champion awards as well as overall race winners for both genders. Registration for the race closes at 8:10 a.m. the day of the race. All proceeds from the race go to the Recreation Boosters to support youth recreation opportunities. FMI: Ben Vail at 372-6363

Dunk Tank, noon to 2:30 p.m. All proceeds to benefit St. George Fire and Ambulance. “Dunkees” will include youth coaches and other local “celebrities.” The dunk tank will be placed behind the Town Office. To sign up to be in the dunk tank, contact Ben Vail at 372-6363.


Third annual Old-Timers' Slow Pitch Softball Game at the big ball field, open to men and women ages 18 and up. Cost to play is $10 per person with all proceeds going to St. George Fire and Ambulance in memory of Tim Holmes. Commemorative T-shirt is included.

Participants can register at the Town Office or at the field the day of the game. Game will begin at 1 p.m. and is scheduled for six innings. FMI: Ben Vail at 372-6363.
