Quarry Hill will launch its summer-fall programming season with "An Introduction to Washburn-Norlands Living History Center" Wednesday, July 20, from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the Anderson Inn at Quarry Hill. The free program is especially designed for adults aged 50-plus.

Norlands director Sheri Leahan will provide an overview of the 18th-century living history farm and museum in Livermore. Following her remarks, Norlands staff members will present “The Busy Cradle,” a short play depicting the 10 Washburn siblings who were raised on the farm and their contributions to business and industry.
