Pianist Sean Fleming, bassist Chuck McGregor, and drummer Allen Millett will present a Piano Potpourri concert Sunday, July 10, at 2 p.m. at the Woolen Mill Park, 300 Main St.

The concert will feature both old and new classical, jazz, rock and ragtime pieces. A rare set of variations on Stephen Foster's famous song "Beautiful Dreamer" will be featured, and Schott Joplin’s famous rag “The Entertainer" will be played. A virtuosic arrangement of Alan Menken's beautiful song "A Whole New World" and “Jelly Roll” Morton’s famous piece “Shreveport Stomp” will be played. Also included will be Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's variations on "Ah, vous dirai-je maman" (better-known as the "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star").

A special part of the concert will be rarely-performed transcriptions of Thomas “Fats” Waller’s piano arrangements, including “Keepin' Out Of Mischief Now.” The centerpiece of the concert will be a tour-de-force arrangement for piano of one of the greatest rock songs of all time, Freddie Mercury's "Bohemian Rhapsody." A variety of other light jazz and popular pieces fill out the program that is sure to be enjoyed by people of all ages.

Everyone is invited to celebrate summer in the beautiful gazebo of Woolen Mill Park, nestled in the heart of the town. For more information, call 273-2622.
