Rock City Café, 316 Main St., will present singer/songwriter Emy Taylor Saturday, July 9, from 7 to 9 p.m.

Originally from Texas, Taylor weaves American tales of the wandering spirit through her music, taking the audience on a journey of everyday life and everyday characters; no wonder the late three-time Grammy Award-winning sound engineer Phil York dubbed her a “female Bob Dylan.” Others have likened her to the musical offspring of Bruce Springsteen and Lucinda Williams.

Food is available until closing. For more information on this and other events happening at the coffeebar/cafe, call 594-4123 or find it on Facebook.
