Six accomplished young musicians will return to the Midcoast for a summer performance called Strings By the Sea Saturday, July 9, at 6:30 p.m. at the Rockport Opera House. 6 Central St.

Musicians Josie Davis (violin), Sophie Davis (violin), Maya French (violin), Nathan Hillman (viola), Elizabeth Moore (viola) and Nora Willauer (cello) will perform classical, folk and fiddle music to benefit the scholarship fund for the Watershed School. The public is invited to join the Watershed community to celebrate these exceptional musicians as they return home to share their talents with Midcoast Maine.

Their accomplishments include performances on NPR’s “From the Top,” Bowdoin’s International Music Festival, the Odeon Chamber Orchestra and the Kennedy Center. Studies include at the Liceu Conservatory in Barcelona, Oberlin, University of North Carolina School of Arts and Boston University College of Fine Arts. These musicians have performed together during various stages of their development, in quartets and chamber ensembles including at Bay Chamber Concerts and, more recently, as members of Palaver Strings.

Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door; student tickets are $10. The ticket price includes entrance, fine cheeses and crackers, fresh fruit, homemade desserts and soft drinks. There will be a cash bar.
