Elise Huff from the Coastal Children's Museum and Susie Meadows from the Project Puffin Visitor Center are bringing back their free kids’ summer workshop series of Seaside Explorers. The first session will be Friday, July 1, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the museum, 75 Mechanic St.

For this workshop, kids will focus on food webs. They will explore how different living creatures in the ocean get the energy they need to live, and what (or who) they have to eat to get it.

This workshop is the first in a series, which will continue throughout July and August, every other Friday. Workshops will cover topics of migration, motion in the ocean, marine habitats and, of course, puffins.

The Coastal Children’s Museum is open Wednesdays through Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sundays, 1 to 4 p.m., all year long.
