Merryspring Nature Center and Knox-Lincoln Soil & Water Conservation District are teaming up again this summer offer a week of summer ecology camp for children, ages 4 through 6. Little Sprouts Camp runs from July 11-15 at Merryspring.

This year, it’s “All About the Animals” with each day of camp featuring a different animal theme. Kids can expect to learn about the mammals that make Maine forests their home, go bird watching and build bird houses, go on bug hunts, and even meet some real farm animals.

Little Sprouts is an all outdoor, part-day camp. Children will receive an introduction to nature and ecology through games, crafts, nature walks, and gardening. Daily, themed snacks and water will be provided.

This program is part of Summer Ecology Camps, a collaboration between Merryspring and Knox-Lincoln Soil & Water Conservation District. Little Sprouts camp runs from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., July 11-15. The cost is $75, with a discounted rate of $65 for Merryspring member families.
