The 2016 Camden International Film Festival is seeking volunteers for the 12th annual fest, held in Camden, Rockport and Rockland from Sept. 15 to 18.

Camden National Bank returns for their second year as the official sponsor of the Festival Volunteer Program, whose almost 200 volunteers make the festival possible. Enthusiastic individuals are welcome to join the team. They will gain experience in film festival planning, connect with filmmakers and film industry leaders from around the world, see a selection of documentaries screened for the first time in New England or even the United States and join local artists to transform barns and warehouses for CIFF parties.

There are many ways to help out including ticket taking, welcoming attendees, event catering, publicity and ushering. Organizers also are looking for dedicated volunteers to help before and after the festival weekend. Volunteers will be rewarded throughout the festival with free tickets to screenings, admission to the festival’s closing night party and further incentives based on the number of hours worked. Volunteers can sign up for a four-hour shift or an entire weekend to earn a pass and participate in the movies, panels and parties.

Benefits are outlined on the CIFF website and include great perks like a free trial memberships with the SundanceNow Doc Club to watch documentaries year-round, sneak peek movie screenings, discounted membership and admissions to the Farnsworth Art Museum and free admission to selected screenings, regardless of volunteer time commitment. For more information or to volunteer, email Sarah Rogers at sarah@camdenfilmfest.org. Benefits and updates can be found at camdenfilmfest.org/volunteer.

Passes are on sale at early bird discounted prices through Friday, July 15. There are two types of passes: The Festival Pass, which grants admission to all festival screenings and all events associated with CIFF's Points North Documentary Forum; and the All Access Pass, which grants the same admission as the Festival Pass plus all special events and invitation-only parties. Those who purchase either by July 15 will save 20 percent. To find out more about pass options or to purchase your passes to CIFF 2016, visit camdenfilmfest.org/attend.
