Center for Maine Contemporary Art’s participation in the AIR — Arts In Rockland — First Friday Art Walk 5 to 8 .m. July 1 marks the return of Winter Street, previously home to Jonathan Frost Gallery, Somewhere on Winter Street, Eric Hopkins Gallery and Yvette Torres Fine Art. Arts In Rockland is delighted to welcome CMCA to the city's vibrant arts community.

Many AIR members will be open including the Farnsworth Art Museum (like CMCA, offering free admission during the art walk), the Strand Theatre, Asymmetrick Arts, The Gray Fox Gallery and Black Hole.

In the second story 407 Studios, 407 Main St., Middle Eastern dance instructor Shalimar will hold an open studio and present performances at 6 and 8 p.m. Caldbeck Gallery, 8 Elm St., will hold a reception for Nancy Wissemann-Widrig, Dennis Pinette and group show artists Sam Cady, David Dewey, Jeff Epstein, Bayard Hollins, K.
