The Thomaston Fourth of July Committee needs 35 volunteers willing to “show your Fourth of July pride” by donating an hour, two or three on Monday, July 4, to help make the celebration a success.

Most of the volunteer opportunities are in two-hour slots.

Chris Winters is looking for folks to help with getting the parade participants in order starting at 8:30 a.m.  Email him at parade@thomaston4thofjuly.com.

Beth Barbour is looking for volunteers to help serve the chicken dinner from noon to 2 p.m.  Email her at info@thomaston4thofjuly.com.

Julie Brooks is looking for people to help guide the children in and out of the bouncy house for two hours between noon and 7 p.m.  Email her at info@thomaston4thofjuly.com.

Brooks is also looking for folks to man the Information Booth starting at noon.

“It takes a lot of hands to create memories for the next generations,” the committee said in a news release. “Bring a family member with you, or a friend. Come, stand with us in creating a beautiful small-town memory for all the thousands of folks coming to Thomaston on Monday for the parade, chicken BBQ, children’s games and fireworks.”
