Our pet pick of the week is Tickler, a 10-year-old spayed black and white short-haired cat. While many people are in search of an adorable little kitten to add to their family, you might want to consider adopting an adult cat or even a wonderful, loving senior cat like Tickler.

As a mature adult, Tickler is old enough not to climb your curtains and young enough to climb right into your lap. You already know the wonderful personality you are getting with this attention-seeker. She's content to just relax in your company and does not have mischief on her mind like her younger counterparts.

Tickler would love to hang out in the garden with you, pouncing on the occasional grasshopper and then join you for an afternoon nap. She is fine with children and might tolerate another cat in the household. One thing is for sure: She knows what a loving home is like and will be eternally grateful for the chance to experience one again.

Senior cats Ozzy and Sophie would also love a chance at love again.

Biggles and Ryder are two young adults whom we would love to send home together. Ryder is the more outgoing of the pair of 1-year-old male tabbies, showing his love with some heads bumps and a lick or two. Biggles is a little more reserved, but the attention received is that much sweeter when it happens.

These two cuties are playful and loving and would be a great addition to a family. They are good with kids, cats and even dogs. At work all day? No worries. They would be happy to keep each other company until you returned home.

Stop in and meet all the wonderful cats we have available for adoption. For them, there is no place like home.

Keep 'em coming. Bottles that is. Our ongoing bottle drive is raising money for the shelter, helping us pay for things like vaccinations, flea treatment and food for the animals in our care. You can drop them off in the specially marked containers at the Thomaston Transfer station or you can pick up some Clynk bags. We have special coded bags at the shelter that you fill up and then drop off at Hannaford's. No counting. No waiting. No mess. Your returnables are automatically credited to PMHSKC's account. Your bottles earn thousands of dollars each year to help shelter animals. We appreciate the support.

Wish list: Kitten and puppy milk replacements, canned dog and cat food, large black garbage bags, hand soap, bleach, laundry detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, and gift certificates to Walmart, Staples, Amazon and other local businesses.

Thanks for your support.
