River Arts on Route 1 celebrates the arrival of summer and the opening of its newest exhibition, “Summertime,” Friday, June 24, from 5 to 7 p.m. Artists from all over Maine, including many from the Midcoast, fete the long-awaited season through 90 works in landscapes, still life and figures. Juror for the exhibition was Tina Ingraham.

Midcoast artists with work selected for “Summertime” are Jean Bird of Camden; Petrea Noyes of Lincolnville; Leslie Woods of Montville; Nancy Lovley of Owls Head; Kendra Denny and Jeanette Phillipps of   Rockland; Diana Dion of Rockport; Lucinda Talbot and Paul Karlsson of St. George; Dianne Horton of Swanville; Geoff Bladon of Tenants Harbor; Jannetta Jennings and Heidi Locke of Union; Sherry Dec and Joyce Steel of Waldoboro; and Tania Amazeen-Jones and Joan Freiman of Washington.
