Tickets are now on sale for two headline shows at the year’s Maine Lobster Festival on the waterfront. Tickets for seats in a reserved section directly in front of the stage at either show are $25, available online at, and include festival admission.

Country hitmakers Diamond Rio will take the festival’s main stage Friday, Aug. 5, at 7:30 p.m., with an opening set by up-and-coming star Courtney Cole. Six-time Vocal Group of the Year Diamond Rio has had a string of hits (“One More Day,” “Love a Little Stronger,” “Meet in the Middle”) and sold more than 10 million albums including three platinum, five gold records and 13 Grammy nominations.

On Saturday, Aug. 6, at 7:30 p.m. the Maine Lobster Festival will present Smash Mouth with special guest Kris Rogers and The Dirty Gems. Smash Mouth made a big splash with “I’m a Believer” from the movie “Shrek,” but the band’s hits “Then The Morning Comes,” “Can’t Get Enough of You Baby” and the Top 10 “All Star” solidified its double-platinum status. Smash Mouth has a reputation for shows that shine with music, but also serve up plenty of fun.

Headlining Maine Music Day — Thursday, Aug. 4 — will be festival favorites The Mallett Brothers Band, supported by acoustic trio Lula Wiles; and The Maine Marimba Ensemble. There is no seat charge for Thursday evening’s performances.

The 69th annual Maine Lobster Festival runs Aug. 3 through 7 in Harbor Park on the waterfront. For more information, visit the website.
