Hope Library

Hope Library is delighted to announce that during April, local artist Jamie Wiggin will display her paintings at the Library. Wiggin is a Rockland native who has had a lifelong passion for painting. After some time studying at the University of Southern Maine, she focused on the great painters of the early 18th and 20th Centuries. Their influence is evident in her moving paintings of the people and places she knows so well. Wiggin's skill and attention to detail; is reminiscent to the French academic painters. Many paintings depict her children and their friends and self-portraits and landscapes of Maine. She has shown at Ingra, Fine Art and Antiques in Wiscasset and Art of the Seas Gallery in South Thomaston. Be sure to visit Hope Library in April. The Library is open when the Hope Town Office is open, Tuesdays through Fridays.
