Trekkers’ 11th annual Trekkapalooza concert will showcase a diverse and talented set of Maine-based acts in an energizing and fun battle of the bands Friday, March 25, at 7 p.m. at the Strand Theatre, 345 Main St.
Trekkers is seeking musical acts for this year’s event, especially those with a distinctive sound and style that can add to the amazing lineup of talent. If selected to perform at Trekkapalooza, bands will be eligible to win a cash prize and be crowned Best Bus Band 2016.
The Trekkapalooza committee is looking for musical acts of all ages and styles. Those interested in performing should contact the Trekkers office at 594-5095 or email Jenny Carter at jennycartera@gmail.com. Trekkapalooza is a chem-free event for all ages.
Tickets will soon be on sale for $10 and can be purchased or reserved at the Trekkers office or by calling 594-5095. Tickets will be available at the door for $12 starting at 6:30 p.m. the night of the show. All proceeds from this student-led fundraiser will benefit Trekkers, a youth mentoring organization that serves seventh through 12th grade students in the communities of Cushing, Owls Head, Rockland, South Thomaston, St. George and Thomaston.
