Necessary Music Productions’ sporadic concert series at The Flatbread Company on Route 1 is dedicated to featuring primarily acoustic music, spanning roots Americana, old-timey blues and everything in between.

On Saturday, Jan. 23, the series will present The Rusty Hinges, a lively five-piece acoustic band featuring musicians from Lincoln and Knox counties. They will play from 6 to 9 p.m.

A Midcoast hit, thanks to their blend of folk, bluegrass, oldies and country, The Rusty Hinges performs throughout the year. Group members include leader Nancy Jones (vocals, guitar, pennywhistle and fiddle); Brian Dunn, mandolin and banjo player and sea chantey singer; Cindy Millar, featured vocals, as well as mandolin and fiddle; Chuck McGregor on bass; and Dick White, guitar and vocals.

It should be an eclectic show to accompany diners, said Necessary Music’s Will Neils. There is no added cost beyond dinner and drinks.

Another dinner show is planned for Thursday, Jan. 28, from 6 to 9 p.m. Eric Green will mix rustic Americana and swamp groove in a solo show that features vocals; acoustic and electric slide guitar; and keyboards. For more information, visit the Facebook event page.
