MVHS to host Essentials of College Planning Jan. 19
WALDOBORO — The Maine Educational Opportunity Center hosts a free workshop entitled "Essentials of College Planning" for adults 19 and older at Medomak Valley High School in Waldoboro Jan. 19 from 6 to 8 p.m.
The workshop outlines the four steps in the college process: admissions, financial aid, career planning and study skills, and lasts approximately two to three hours. Pre-registration is required. To register or for more information, call RSU 40 Adult Ed at 832-5205.
Waldoboro woman makes dean's list at Belmont University
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Paige Greene of Waldoboro qualified for the fall 2015 dean's list at Belmont University. Eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a quality grade-point average of 3.5, with no grade below a C.
McClure qualifies for dean's list at Colby-Sawyer
NEW LONDON, N.H. — Colby-Sawyer College has named Christina McClure, of Waldoboro, to the dean's list for academic achievement. To qualify for the dean's list, students must achieve a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale while carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours in graded courses. McClure is majoring in public health and is a member of the class of 2019.
Young named to Bob Jones University dean's list
GREENVILLE, S.C. — Nathan Young, a senior Communication major of Warren, was among approximately 890 Bob Jones University students named to the Fall 2015 dean's list. The dean's list recognizes students who earn a 3.00-3.74 GPA.
