David and Beverly Worthington have announced that 2016 graduates of Camden Hills Regional High School will be eligible to apply for the Worthington Scholarship.

The Worthington Scholarship is open to students attending all branches of the University of Maine system and the Maine community college system, as well as Maine Maritime Academy and Husson University. The award amount is $3,000 per year.

Camden Hills students may apply for this scholarship using the existing scholarship packet. The deadline is April 1. Scholarships will be awarded based on a combination of financial need and academic promise. Other guidelines and criteria apply.

All students must complete a financial literacy course offered by New Ventures Maine before receiving funds and are expected to communicate periodically with the Worthington College Mentor, Caitlin Clark. Clark will assist students with the transition to college and will be available to help students with major and career exploration.

The Worthington Scholarship is managed by the Maine Community Foundation, a statewide organization with offices in Ellsworth and Portland. MaineCF works with donors and other partners to improve the quality of life for all Maine people. To learn more, visit mainecf.org or call 1-877-700-6800.
