The students from the LEAD program at Medomak Valley High created holiday centerpieces for the second year in a row. Each year the holiday raffle generates funds for activities that the LEAD students partiicpate in throughout the year.
Aside from being aesthetically pleasing, this activity is an eye-hand coordination exercise that demonstrates to the community the lifelong learning skills that these students have developed. Living in the land of holiday wreaths, kissing balls, garlands and centerpieces, learning to create the centerpieces is a experience that can be useful for the students in seasonal employment after they graduate.
