Maine Water recently donated more than $11,000 to 19 food pantries across the state in each of its service territories.

The donations are in recognition of the critical work that these organizations do to support the citizens in need in the communities. From Biddeford and Saco to Camden, Millinocket, Skowhegan and many other towns, the funds were distributed just prior to the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

“Hunger is an issue throughout our state and is not isolated to only certain areas,” said Judy Wallingford, president of Maine Water. “We serve our Maine communities proudly with water service, and know how important the basic necessities can be, especially as we head toward another Maine winter.”
