True in play-reading series

Cushing’s Jennifer True is among the cast members of the next Sundays w/o Scenery play reading at the downtown Lincoln Theater. The live theater series will present Jon Robin Baitz's “Other Desert Cities” Sunday, Dec. 13, at 2 and 7 p.m.

In the Pulitzer Prize-nominated “Other Desert Cities,” Brooke Wyeth returns home to Palm Springs after a six-year absence to celebrate Christmas with her parents, brother and aunt. Brooke announces she is about to publish a memoir dredging up a pivotal and tragic event in the family's history — a wound the others do not want re-opened. In effect, she draws a line in the sand and dares them all to cross it.

The LCCT cast also includes Tyson Bailey, Mary Charbonnet, Al D'Andrea and Dixie Weisman, with direction by John Mulcahy. Tickets are $10, $8 for Lincoln Theater members and youth younger than 19.
