Waldoboro police officers responded to 609 calls for service between Nov. 9 and Nov. 22. Below are a few of the highlights.

Nov. 10

Officer John Lash arrested Leann McKusic, 42, of Waldoboro, for operating under the influence.

Officer Steven Drake summoned Neil Winchenbach, 57, of Waldoboro, for harvesting clams without a town license.

Officer Larry Hesseltine summoned Briannah Parlin, 24, of South Thomaston, for operating with a suspended license.

Hesseltine summoned Anna Morkeski, 28, of Damariscotta, for theft.

Nov. 11

Officer Thomas Bartunek investigated an accident on Bremen Road at 6:27 p.m. Kevin King, 53, of Waldoboro, was backing out of a parking spot in a 2008 GMC pickup truck when he failed to see and struck a 2014 Chevrolet pickup truck legally parked, belonging to Charles Beach, 68, of Waldoboro. No injuries were reported.

Bartunek investigated a report of a lost wallet with the possibility the owner's card was used.

Nov. 12

Hesseltine arrested Jessie Gehrmann, 29, of Waldoboro, for burglary, theft and possession of a firearm by prohibited person.

Nov. 13

Bartunek investigated an accident on Union Road at 7:56 p.m. Christian Burton, 17, of Warren, was traveling north in a 2001 Ford sedan when an unknown animal crossed the road.

Nov. 15

Hesseltine arrested Kevin King, 53, of Waldoboro, for possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, unlawful possession of scheduled drug and theft by receiving stolen property.

Nov. 16

Bartunek arrested Bradford Davis, 39, of Waldoboro, on a warrant.

Lash arrested Stephen Parece, 29, of Waldoboro, on a warrant.

Bartunek investigated an accident on Friendship Road at 8:44 p.m. Catlin Brann, 17, of Friendship, was traveling south in a 2003 Honda sedan when a deer crossed the road in front of her, causing her to strike the deer.No injuries were reported.

Nov. 17

Officer Andrew Santheson investigated an accident on Atlantic Highway at 12:13 p.m. Joseph Gower, 59, of Waldoboro, was traveling south in a 1995 Mercury sedan and turned right, impacting the left front corner of the 2007 Toyota utility vehicle driven by Judith Carrol, 63, of Bristol, who was traveling toward Atlantic Highway from the Town Office driveway. No injuries were reported.

Lash arrested Laurens Adam, 63, of Waldoboro, on a violation of conditional release.

Nov. 18

Hesseltine summoned Leona Cocco, 42, of Waldoboro, for attaching false plates and violation of conditional release.

Lash summoned Jacob Ingraham, 19, of Union, for possession of marijuana.

Nov. 19

Santheson arrested Shelley Landers, 46, of Waldoboro, for a violation of conditional release.

Santheson arrested Karena Parker, 38, of Waldoboro, on a warrant.

Santheson investigated a report of a theft from the Community Pharmacy.

Sgt. Jamie Wilson arrested Harold Martin, 50, of Waldoboro, on a warrant.

Bartunek investigated an accident on Old Augusta Road at 8:08 p.m. Allen Muir, 26, of Waldoboro, was traveling west in a 2013 Dodge sedan when a deer crossed the road in front of him and was struck. No injuries to the driver were reported.

Nov. 20

Wilson summoned John Staples, 52, of Waldoboro, for criminal threatening.

Wilson investigated a report of criminal mischief to a lawn.

Nov. 21

Wilson investigated a report of glasses stolen from a motor vehicle.

Hesseltine investigated a report that someone was trespassing on an individual's property, cutting trees and tearing down posted “no trespassing” signs.

Nov. 22

Lash investigated an accident at the intersection of Atlantic Highway and Union Road. Justin Smith, 24, of Waldoboro, was traveling south in a 2013 Mazda sedan when he hit the divider median and stop sign on Union Road, continued through the intersection and hit a curb. Smith went off the road and came to rest in a yard on Union Road. Smith was charged with operating under the influence of alcohol and received minor injuries.

An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.
