Effective Dec. 1, the city of Rockland will implement an overnight parking ban between the hours of 2 and 6 a.m. through March. Vehicle may not be parked on any street, municipal parking lot, public way or sidewalk during those times.

Vehicles may not park at any time so as to interfere with the removal of snow from the street, municipal parking lot or public way by the city plowing, loading or hauling.

Vehicle in violation of the parking ban or obstructing snow removal may be towed at the owner's expense without any liability on the city's part.

During the parking ban, Rockland residents who display a valid permit may park in deisgnated public parking spaces in the following municipal parking lots between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m.: Thorndike parking lot, Buoy Park, Harbor Park.

The permit fee is $25 and permits may be obtained rom the city clerk's office at 270 Pleasant St.
