Eastern Star craft fair in Tenants Harbor Nov. 28

Naomi Chapter of Eastern Star will hold its annual Christmas craft fair and luncheon Saturday, Nov. 28, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Odd Fellows Hall in Tenants Harbor. Proceeds from the craft fair, luncheon and bake sale will benefit the local charities supported by Naomi Chapter. There will be multiple vendors with various handmade items.Several themed baskets will be raffled, with half of the proceeds to benefit the Dyslexia Foundations of Maine. Lunch will feature crab rolls and chicken sandwiches, corn chowder and chicken soup, with crackers, cookie and a drink. For more information, call 372-6117.

Wolliker's Nov. 29 sale to benefit VFW

Wolliker’s Waldoboro Whimsies, a monthly flea market and bazaar, will benefit the Waldoboro VFW during its sale Sunday, Nov. 29, at the VFW Hall on Mill Street. The money raised will help support the efforts of the Waldoboro VFW to support and recognize local veterans.

Warren Historical Society Christmas program Dec. 1

Caroline Wiley and family will present “Christmas Stories and Music” with the children playing musical instruments and songs led by their parents at the Dr. Campbell House & Museum, 225 Main St., Warren, Tuesday, Dec. 1, at 7 p.m. The program will be preceded by a potluck dinner at 6 p.m. The public is welcome to bring place settings, a dish to share and enjoy an evening of good food, fellowship and cheer. Camden National honored by FAME

Based on its commitment to the community and volume of loans throughout the course of the year, Camden National Bank was honored as the “Financial Institution of the Year” by the Finance Authority of Maine at an event at the Holiday Inn By the Bay in Portland Nov 19. This marks the sixth year that Camden National has received the “Financial Institution of the Year” distinction out of the last seven.

Over the past year, Camden National partnered with FAME on 62 loans totaling more than $22 million. This, in turn, helped to create or retain 683 Maine jobs, according to FAME.
